Trillium Imaging is now offering video packages to go along with our photography packages. Full wedding day video coverage including near HD, widescreen DVDs start at $550.00. Here are a couple of examples from 2010 and 2011. Since these videos were taken we’ve updated our audio capture with lapel and shotgun microphones.

Trisha and John St. Mary’s Wedding

Trisha and John got married at the St Mary’s in Orchard Lake. We took creative photos at the St. Mary’s grotto at least until we were chased away by the police. Some of us (well most of us) had parked in a no parking zone. We were able to escape without getting parking tickets. Thanks Officer!

The reception was at Lyon Oaks golf course. A great place for a wedding reception and a great place to golf.

Great DownTown Detroit Photo Ops

Amber and Chris got married at St. James church in Ferndale MI. After the wedding we headed to Comerica Park and Hart Plaza for outdoor wedding photos.
The reception was at Andiamo of Warren. This was our first time at this fantastic venue.

Detroit Zoo Arctic Ring Wedding

Our most recent wedding was at the Artic Ring at the Detroit Zoo. Elizabeth and Mike wanted to find a venue that was out of the ordinary. I think having polar bears and seals as guest of the wedding make it pretty much out of the ordinary! Congrats to Elizabeth and Mike. Thanks for inviting me to share your wedding day with you.

The gardens at the Zoo where very beautiful, especially considering the time of year.

P Bear says “All those tasty seals and humans around here and all I get is a dead fish”

Elizabeth and Mike thought this was a great place for an eskimo kiss. I agree!

The zoo and polar bear enclosure offered some great backgrounds for bride and groom photos. Here is one example.

Eyry of the Eagle Wedding

LeeAnn and Rich got married at the Eyry Of The Eagle Farm in Grass Lake Michigan. Eyry of the Eagle has one of the most beautiful ceremony sites I’ve seen. The owner of the farm is Dale Fisher who is a very accomplished heliphotographer. He takes beautiful landscape photos mostly while standing on the landing strut of a helicopter! I hope he’s strapped in.

The wedding was outside. That’s always a gamble in September and October. We were fortunate enough to have a beautiful day with very dramatic skies. There was something very unusual about this wedding. Can you guess what it was? Congrats to LeeAnn and Rich!

Melissa and Karl Ann Arbor Wedding

After Melissa and Karl’s July wedding in Ann Arbor, we went to the world famous (for wedding photograhy) U of M Law Quad. After taking about 200 photos at the law quad we headed to Weber’s Inn for the reception. Weber’s prime rib is always a good choice for a reception dinner! I’m way behind on blogging this year. We’ve been so busy with weddings and portraits blogging has taken a back seat. A belated congratulations to Melissa and Karl!

Fall Baby and Child Photography

I had photographed Lucy the first time when she was 9 months Old. A couple of weeks ago I had a session scheduled with Lucy and her baby brother. Lucy was still 9 months old in my mind’s eye. It was so suprising to see a four year old when I was expecting a baby girl!

It was also my second session with Audrey. Audrey was a star during this photo session. We must have spent an hour shooting with the pond set and the high key white. Audrey was happy the whole time. Nothing but smiles!

This was my third session with the lovely little Nora. We decided to do her 18 month pics outdoors. Once Nora got to the park it was go, go, go. She wouldn’t sit still for a minute. So we got some great action photos. Nora did a lot of running. I’ll bet she slept well that night!

Wedding in Paradise

Julie and Gregg got married on the island of St John. St John is one of the US Virgin Islands. It has no airport, you have to take a ferry boat from St. Thomas to St. John. The island is not very crowded, especially on the South East side of the island. The wedding took place on the estate of Ocean Palm. Ocean Palm really defies description. The main swimming pool was an infinity pool that overlooked the open Caribbean ocean. Check out the link to Ocean Palm.

The bride looked stunning in her makeup/hair by JeT’aime Cerge and her Vera Wang dress. The day after the wedding we did a short TTD session in the pool. Julie tells me the Vera Wang dress survived the repeated dunkings.

The wedding overlooking the ocean and the entire week in St. John were amazing. Chris and I would like to thank Julie and Gregg for inviting us to shoot their paradise wedding.

New Venues with Amanda and Tim

Amanda and Tim chose venues that we had never worked at before. The wedding was held at Matthei Botanical Gardens. We had done weddings there before, but always outside. This wedding was inside the conservatory so we had 80 degree ‘outdoor’ weather on March 25th! A big switch from all the snow that had been following me around! ‘MBG’ has one of the most beautiful processional walks I’ve seen.

The reception was at the famous Gandy Dancer restaurant in Ann Arbor. The Gandy Dancer was the Central Michigan Railroad Station 1893 until the mid 1970′s. I included one photo that looks like it might be from the 1890′s. I do believe a steam locomotive in the background would have made the photo better but unfortunately there were none around.

Christina and I had a great time working with Amanda and Tim and we got some great shots! Congrats to the new couple and thanks for letting us share your wedding day with you!

First Wedding Of 2011 (And More Snow!)
